Medium lemon in colour with golden reflections. Fresh and vibrant, showing white floral aromas enhanced by subtle oaky and smoky nuances. On the palate it is beautifully balanced, with just enough acidity to indicate a high level of sweetness without actually tasting sweet. Incredibly light and refined, with excellent drinkability, strongly reminiscent of the lighter styles of Sauternes or wines from nearby, smaller French appellations.

• Light, creamy or sponge-based desserts
• Hungarian layered honey cake (Hatlapos)
• More mature blue cheeses or soft cheeses
• Light summer green salad with lightly roasted nectarine
• Apricot dumplings with plenty of melted butter and toasted breadcrumbs – a perfect match, as before
