Ripe lemon colour. Light, clean and flowery, citrus blossom hints, with a bit of oak barrel character on the nose. On the palate, vibrant acidity, sweet tone, but not overtly so, beautifully balanced. Some honeycomb, botrytis notes, freshly dried apricot and apricot kernel with its fine bitterness, which spices the whole sip up elegantly. Nice, long finish, with scents of right-now-cooking fruit preserve.

• complex poultry dishes, even with thick sauces, but cold pâtés can also be well paired with
• burrata caprese, I have tried it, works well, the wine stands with the extravirgin olive oil well
• lightm fruite pies and desserts
• mature cheeses like comté, beaufort, our mature cheddar, leicester or gouda
• layer cake with dried apricot and honey-buttercream
• apricot stuffed dimpling with loads of butter toasted breadcrumbs
